For several years I’ve been developing the theme of “secret and sacred” and exploring the intimacy and immediacy of famous artist workshops, such as the famous European painter Michalis Katzourakis and the amazing international sculptor Alexandra Athanassiades.
These spaces are private and sacred to the artist but when revealed can impart a deep understanding of the process and body of work; a different and unique connection between artist and the viewer. Photography, sculpture and painting undergo a transformation.
The artist’s universe is ephemeral, ghostly - but I can reach across and show what lingers in the places where real art is born, where the artists transmit themselves into their own intimate work spaces and surroundings.
